About Us
Treelore farmacy is a newly established farm residing on Mechoopda territory in Chico, California. We are a Chicano, Queer owned business that is dedicated to providing the most healthful, highest quality naturally grown produce at equitable prices to the community and California based businesses at large. Established in 2024, Treelore Farmacy has been a dream for decades. Treelore Farmacy sees food as medicine, and wants to participate in the healing of our communities in our small corner of the world.
It is our goal to create a sustainable business model that allows ourselves and future farmhands to sustain our own cost of living while also striving to give our community the best possible prices. To us, providing the best quality produce to the community is serious business, because healthful food creates healthy communities, and together we are stronger, more resilient, and able to have the strength to overcome the modern challenges we face. We hope that you will help us be a part of that vision by supporting our small farm and sharing in the bounty of delicious, local, naturally grown produce.

Practices
We are not currently certified organic, but we do believe that we go above and beyond the requirements of being organic. We do not use any pesticides, herbicides, or commercial fertilizers, organic, conventional or otherwise. We focus on creating fertility through regenerative practices like mulching, cover cropping, no-till cultivation, and composting. We create our own bacterial innoculants and liquid fertilizers using on-site reagents, and cultivate mushroom mycelium to break down our woodchip pathways. We believe in minimizing our plastic use, so we use irrigation systems that focus on repair over replacement, and create soil blocks instead of using plastic pots. In every aspect of our operations we are phasing out plastics in favor of more sustainable choices for a healthier earth.
